Recipe- Let's Get Started!!

  1. Prepare the Chicken

    • If using chicken breasts, you may want to pound them slightly to even thickness for more even cooking.
    • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Marinate the Chicken

    • Place the chicken pieces in a mixing bowl and coat them evenly with barbecue sauce. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator, or longer for more flavor.
  3. Preheat the Grill

    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375-400°F or 190-200°C). If using charcoal, ensure the coals are evenly spread and have burned down to a medium-hot temperature.
  4. Grill the Chicken

    • If desired, brush the grill grates lightly with oil to prevent sticking.
    • Place the chicken pieces on the preheated grill, skin-side down if using skin-on chicken.
    • Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side for thighs or 8-10 minutes per side for breasts, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
    • During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the chicken generously with more barbecue sauce, flipping once or twice to create a sticky, caramelized coating
  5. Rest and Serve

    • Once the chicken is cooked through and has a nice charred exterior, remove it from the grill and transfer it to a serving platter.
    • Tent the chicken loosely with aluminum foil and let it rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
    • Serve the barbecue chicken hot, garnished with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
